2. Applicable law

I run this website privately from Montenegro. Because it uses a German domain, is also aimed at visitors in the European Union and runs on servers in Germany, processing follows the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The data protection law of Montenegro also applies.

I have not appointed a representative in the EU under Art. 27 GDPR. Processing is limited to technically necessary data, does not include special categories of personal data and is unlikely to result in a risk to visitors' rights (Art. 27 (2) (a) GDPR).

3. Hosting

This website runs on a server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hetzner. Data is stored in Germany.

4. Server log files

When you visit this website, the web server automatically processes information that your browser sends:

  • IP address
  • date and time of the request
  • requested page or file
  • amount of data transferred and HTTP status code
  • referrer URL
  • browser and operating system (user agent)

This data is needed only to deliver the website and to keep it running and secure. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Log files are deleted after 7 days. The data is not combined with other data sources.

5. Access from Montenegro

The data is stored on the server in Germany. When I administer the website, I access it from Montenegro. Montenegro is a third country under the GDPR without an adequacy decision by the European Commission. As I access the data myself as the controller and do not pass it on to anyone, this access serves only to operate the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

6. Cookies, tracking and third-party services

The public part of this website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and loads no content from third parties (such as fonts or scripts). Links to other websites open in a new tab. Only when you follow such a link does the privacy policy of that provider apply.

7. Restricted area

Some parts of this website are reserved for the operator and require sign-in. Sign-in uses Google (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), and a technically necessary session cookie is set. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Visitors to the public pages are not affected.

8. Contact by email

If you email me, I process your details only to answer your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR). The data is deleted once it is no longer needed for that purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). Just send me an email.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the EU member state where you live. In Montenegro, the competent authority is the Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information (Agencija za zaštitu ličnih podataka i slobodan pristup informacijama, Podgorica).
